What should I do if I accidentally inject air?

Small amounts of air injected subcutaneously are generally harmless and will be absorbed by the body without issue. Unlike intravenous injections where air can be dangerous, subcutaneous air bubbles simply create a temporary pocket under the skin that resolves on its own. To prevent air injection, always remove visible bubbles before injecting and check that liquid appears at the needle tip. NCBI - Air Injection Safety
