Can I use bacteriostatic saline instead of bacteriostatic water?

Bacteriostatic saline (0.9% sodium chloride with benzyl alcohol) can be used for most peptides and may reduce injection site discomfort compared to bacteriostatic water. However, some peptides are pH-sensitive and require specific diluents - always check product literature before substituting. FDA diluent compatibility guidelines address acceptable reconstitution media.
